Some workers at the Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee, have registered their third request to join with the United Auto Workers.

UAW Local 42 President Steven Cochran told the Chattanooga Times Free Press the election request has been filed Tuesday with the National Labor Relations Board due to”pressure by the Employees.”

The petition said that plate looking for representation have been switched over by at least 30 percent of 1,709 employees that make up the proposed election unit.

Volkswagen factory officials say that they”remain neutral on this topic.” Plant spokeswoman Amanda Plecas stated that it’s too soon to comment, and the petition is being examined.
