Why it matters
Growth matters only if underwriting holds. The consolidated net charge-off ratio declined to 8.1% from 8.5%, a 40-basis-point improvement. Net revenue margin expanded 400 basis points to 61%.
Those figures strengthen the case that Enova International, Inc. (NYSE: ENVA) can add borrowers without immediately sacrificing loss-adjusted economics. Receivables grew 30%, four percentage points faster than revenue, so later credit performance remains important.
The balance sheet also grew. Long-term debt reached $5.38 billion from $4.11 billion a year earlier, while cash and equivalents were $106 million. Restricted cash was $390 million, up from $303 million. Management reported $1.3 billion of total liquidity, including facility capacity.
That funding supports expansion, but it raises the cost of being wrong. Credit losses, higher borrowing costs or tighter regulation could pressure earnings before the larger receivables book seasons.

What's next
Watch the fourth-quarter net charge-off ratio and fair-value premium. Stable or improving measures would show that recent originations are performing close to management's expectations. Also compare revenue growth with marketing expense, which rose to $230 million from $147 million.
Also track debt growth against operating cash generation. Enova International, Inc. (NYSE: ENVA) repurchased $46 million of stock during the quarter, so capital returns compete with funding new receivables.
The quarter improves the underwriting evidence. It does not prove resilience through a recession or remove funding and regulatory risk from the investment case.
